What to Expect

Counseling sessions are held by telehealth or in person, typically on a weekly basis to start. This frequency can be determined during your first session with your therapist.

Clinicians accept a variety of insurances (BCBS/Carefirst, Cigna, and/or Aetna) or we can provide superbills for private out-of-pocket pay. Payment for copays or session fees are billed automatically at each appointment with a credit card on file. Financial logistics and private pay fees will be discussed prior to the first appointment.

If our clinicians are out-of-network for you, receipts can be provided on a monthly basis to submit to insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. While we understand not everyone can choose this option, private pay is also an investment in your mental health and an opportunity for more freedom and flexibility in scheduling, availability, and the type of treatment provided to craft the most individualized experience for you.

We know how hard it is to seek help, so your relationship with your therapist is very important to us! If at any point you feel that it is not a good fit, please don't hesitate to speak to your therapist or the owner and we will work to provide you another therapist or referrals.

Under the No Surprises Act, out of network providers are required to provide a Good Faith Estimate to clients who are not enrolled in a group health plan or not seeking to file a claim with their group health plan or health insurance coverage. The goal of this estimate is to inform clients of the expected charges of services and will be provided to you prior to your first session. For more information, visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
